Finneas is Underrated and it Should Stay That Way

What do you do when you are a fan of an artist, and want to promote them, but also keep their talent to yourself? This fan-made book was made to highlight one of, in my opinion, the most underrated current musicians, Finneas. Finneas is mostly know for being the brother and music producer to Billie Eillish. Many people don’t know that he is a signer himself and works with many other artists. Many of the songs that are popular on the radio are produced by him. I do not think he gets enough credit for the talent that he has, especially because he is self-taught and successful at such a young age.

Billie, his sister, rapidly developed a level of fame that became overwhelming for her, and caused a lot of mental health issues. Finneas likes to keep some of his life private, and he is not pursuing fame. He just wants to make great music and is happy to live in the background of his sister and other artists. That’s why this publication is called, Finneas is Underrated and it Should Stay That Way. As much as I want to bring attention to the incredible artist that he is, it is okay that he goes under the radar.

The main part of the book dives into Finneas’s talent and his more public persona. The hidden inside book behind the removable cover/poster shares more details about his personal, and more private, life, as well as my personal experience discovering him and eventually meeting him. The design is meant to make you work to learn this information. Additionally, an interactive element takes inspiration from concert tickets, to highlight some of the most clever lyrics in his songs and a QR code that allows you to listen.
